Need a brake hose stand pipe to fit standard Lockheed front caliper and would like one longer than Norton supplied. Is there a unique thread type & size to match Norton or will just a common brake fitting fit? Six inch fork collapse makes significant hose flop, so intend to move that where I want with shorter hose.

I would think you could cut your stock pipe in half and take off the fittings then have a brake shop make one or make it your self however log you want reusing the fittings. Or ask fred at Old Britts he may be able to do it? Good luck & please let us know how it goes. Glenn

Hm ok, will start my vendor calling again for options but am handy with propane flair fittings if that's how the fitting are hung on brake tubes.

Maybe this will help, maybe not. Good info for someone.

For $41 it's a steal, stainless steel that is.

Any length, any thread, any banjo.

I flopped my brake to the left and need something different. My master cyclinder had a 1.00 pitch and the caliper had a 1.25. Added just the right 45 degree banjo at the caliper and it tucks nicely up and over to the MC. I got the charcoal/carbon look shielding. Easy peazy, lemon squeezy. For $41 bucks.

It's simply nice freaking stuff with quality to match. So worth it!

Swooh past Peel did run the hose to caliper but this allowed striking/rubbing slider so had to put softer clear wrap zip tied as a bumper around SS braid hillbilly style grime collector. JIS 45' in 3/8" is the detail I needed to ask for correct common fitting. Now what color to match the brownish hose?

The fittings are 3/8-24. Classic Tube in New York can make you any length hard pipe you want for about $30; lead time about 2 weeks.

Bill.
