KY :?: it is rubber friendly
Jean
Sorry but KY (vaseline ) deteriorates rubber (leave it on your .... for a few weeks and see for yourself)
I use rubbergrease for assembling brakecomponents
another thing about those non return oil valves .As my oil is in my frame i cannot easily check my oillevel so after 1000km I drain the oil to check . I run 2.5l in it
when i drained it (with those gadgets on ) i was chocked to see how little oil was left ,at least 1/2 l was gone
i undid the drainplug in the cases and very little oil dribled out But it kept dribbling out for quite a few days ,all in all the missing oil appearded .I could not see where it was coming from and then ,after a few witkaps ,I saw the light ;timingcase
the oilmist being sucked up by that poxy valve loses it oil in the tc and tha oil can only slowly get back into the main cases
but when it does it is actually wetsumping (,but perhaps there is onother nonreturn valve for that ? ) the oil from the tc can only get back through the bearing and that is shielded by that washer
the hedge behind is now a nonreturnvalve richer
