I've often wished that the stock clocks were angled up more, to face the rider more directly.
I've seen thinner holders that wd be easy to adjust, and wondered if anyone has successfully bent the stock clock holders. I like the older shallow ones 06-0510, if that matters.
The idea wd be to clamp the small end in a vise, warm them up, and using a length of large diameter pipe long enough to give leverage, pull them "up".
I understand they are cast, and that the bending temp is probably close to the melting point. And they are pretty thick at the bending point, more than 8mm or 5/16".
Is there any chance of doing this without breaking them, or is this just another "pipe dream"?

I think its a 'pipe dream'.

Cutting, re-angling, and welding them back together, would be a better solution IMHO.

Don't forget also that changing the angle of the clock will probably have an effect on their drive cable length and routing.

That's a good point, one I had considered and then forgotten.
I'm not going for much bend. 22 degrees wd make me happy...

They really aren't that difficult to make if you can weld aluminium I made some new ones for my commando , could of welded them at an angle but I prefer the look of them as they come cheers

I cast some , a bit different though.

Not a bad idea, Acadian. Did you make them, or buy them somewhere?

RGM sells them, just required a wee bit of filing of the opening in the bracket around the bulb holder area for clearance, I also added a rubber base under the clock to dampen out some of the vibes
