inline oil filter

I am now connecting everything up on my Rickman build, I have a new oil filter that fits inline, it is marketed by Bob Light and called hidihi, or similar. I believe it is a better version but still using the filter element from the Trident. approx. 30mm dia and 125mm long, feeding the oil up through the element centre.
can the oil pump cope with filters and has anybody had any problems. I am fitting on the return, and the Rickman is OIF. also can anybody give me a quantity of oil as there are no clues, dip stick etc. thanks Neil
