What is the function of the 3indicator lights on my 71 commando nothing in service manual

The Riders Manual covers these - page 8 diagram for all the controls, for the 850 one anyway.

These are for the 850, but I assume earlier are similar (?).
The red one comes on when you turn the ignition on, and tells you its not charging.
And goes out when you rev it.
The blue (or green) one tells you you are on high beam.
The amber one tells you the blinkers are blinking.
Think there are online versions of these Manuals, somewhere....
hopethishelps.

No manual is pretty common, I bought one for my 850 off ebay,
plenty of thumbprints on the cover but fairly clean inside.

I wouldn't say its essential, but it does have lots of possibly useful info,
including bulb types and how often you should oil/grease stuff etc,
and details of a lot of the regular maintenance.
And, the wiring diagram......

It is on the wiring diagram.

Although there is a stock set up, I have a green on the right for right hand turn signal indicator, a red one for the left turn and an amber in the middle for high beam.
Its my bike, I do what I want.

I thought green meant >12 volts, yellow meant <6 volts, and red meant dead battery......... :)

We'll originally, red on the left is the low charging idiot light, green on the right is high beam indicator and the yellow one in the middle is the turn signal indicator. This is for 1971 to 1974 Commandos.
