Indicator Cancel

I'm finding it to be a mixed blessing. There are stop lights here that stay red longer than the 20 flashes, which means I have to reset the blinker a couple times while waiting for the light to change. So, I'm actually paying more attention to my blinkers than I did before. Maybe that's a good thing, but it is a distraction.

They stay on way too long after a lane change. I hate riding behind one of my Harley buddies because he refuses to cancel his blinkers manually.
I intend using it to cancel if I forget, not to cancel every time I indicate - big difference!

I've considered doing that, but 50 years of driving habits are hard to change. When I'm with other riders and in the lead position I like to give as much notice of my intent to turn as I can, so I'll sit at a light with blinkers on. By myself, I can wait till the last minute and avoid having to restart the cancel count.

The cancel mode on my brother's VROD seems to be tied to his speedo (or MCU) and it doesn't cancel unless he's moving.
 
I was worried the current drawn by the resistor supplied with the mo-stop would reduce the advantage of changing conventional bulbs for low-current LED bulbs.
Checked with Stephan of the supplier.
He said, if he read the colour code correctly, that the resistor has a resistance of 2kOhm.
It is actually a "pull-up resistor" as used in MCU stuff like arduino etc.
So no need to worry I guess.
