Hi all I'm hoping for some advice,
Is it possible to import a bike to the U.K. which has no documentation (logbook)?

I had a look on the DVLA website, and there is no mention of documents there, which seems strange.

Cheers,

cliffa.

"Classic Bike Guide" had an in depth article on how to import Bikes into UK a few months back , sorry , just glanced at it as I'm elsewhere .... the article may be on the Web somewhere

Thanks Craig, I'll take a look. I actually subscribe to that mag ( the electronic version) so should have it somewhere.

Cheers,

cliffa.

I have no first hand experience, but from what I’ve read, I’d urge you to be doubly sure before proceeding.

I don’t think you’ll have any issue at all importing such a bike, what would worry me is getting it registered in the U.K...

Please share what you find out though Cliff.

Will do Nigel.

It looks as though it was last registered in Spain. Not sure if there is any point trying to get hold of the logbook from there.

You can register an import with no docs but it is a lottery, so if you can get the Spanish logbook then so much the better. I have a US T120R with no title so in preparation I have pdf's of searches for the VIN (well the frame number as no vin's at that time) showing ii is not on the stolen register, I also have a Bill of Sale and will get a dating cert nearer the time.

Thanks John,
I'll give it a go, but having just spent 30 minutes looking at the Spanish website I'm none the wiser

I brought my commando in from USA few years back.I regularly import cars too.Getting it registered with correctly dated plate, means moting it, (on chassis) then getting VMMC to write you a letter to DVLA.you get a pack from them full of forms. If I were you contact Kingstown shipping. These are my shipping guys, and they are the best.
