The City of London banksters have diluted the units of money value so its hard to keep that sliding scale in mind on current pricing and discharging compared with the past. $200 usd or rather frn's a clock plus $25 to ship each one ain't really over charging if the clocks are in good repair. Some folks are in the right business so its a drop in the pond to them.
I bought a load of the earlier green spot gauges in various conditions for up to $75 a pop. I suppose the worst ones need a $100 resto, or so... but most just need a new bezel and maybe a bit of glass. Mind you I'm not so sure what the internals are like but they all seem to work alright. The way prices are going I'm certainly not going to lose any money.
Yes sir even I remember $75 for working clocks. The pair I had repaired a decade ago ran me ~150 each plus shipping. If ya know what ya doing then certainly bargains abound to recover that seem like trash to the rest of us. Sometimes I've paid a premium just to get on with my no brainer show. I'm hoping i never have to handle clock innards, just lens and outside buffing.
