if it weren't for bad luck

I used tape and zip ties on the last harness I did. I couldn't figure out the warning lights in the head light shell or how to add turn signals turn so I left that part out.

Hehe, this makes me feel so much better about myself Britbiker
I couldn't figure out the warning lights in the head light shell or how to add turn signals turn so I left that part out.

I got my first Cdo all figured out, 12 weeks trial error a few hours a night, all summer long. One lesion learned, I'll never again use vintage style glass fuses.
Trouble with tapes is the glue gets so greasy messy and the silicon stick to itself must also be destroyed to access loom. I can't stand that corrigated split plastic loom.
Spiral coil wrap is dang clever invention but it takes up space that tape or cloth wrap don't. I think you've solved my choice in my special, cloth wrap. Not sure how to fasten ends maybe shrink wrap.

My main worry in wires is how long the leads from bar switches to loom in spinal area will last before breaking up inside or not enough length left from all the repaired-replaced terminals.

I had to access drive train a bunch so had to remove primary and charger a whole bunch too, Best wire connectors I never had trouble with for those 3 leads was house wire nuts, stuffed down in toy egg with a T-rex baby busting out, tucked down deep between tranny and crankcase as weather and visual protection. I never took egg off at INOA rally so no one was the wiser.

I too was completely overwhelmed at first by the wiring. I made a copy of the wiring and used colored pencils to trace the different circuits. I tried to follow, where possible, the colors of the stock wire. Made the wiring much easier to visualize.
