I wend and did it again. I got home from working in the shop last night late, the wife was still up deep into a book on her Kindle, so I started checking CL for bikes, a bad habit I know. Found a 1975 Yamaha DT175 enduro for $200. So I emailed the guy and picked it up this morning. It's complete except a few broken bits and a missing stator cover. I had an elsinore that I regret selling, so we'll see how long this one hangs around. I quadrupled my money on the elsinore, so I should be good on this one as long as I don't go crazy with it. Probably just get it cleaned up and running for now.

Nice little pickup Brent,
175b?
Lots of parts are interchangeable on Yammies.
Check the big end, they gave a little problem, due more to the oil pump than anything else.
Premix is the safe way.
I have an old Manual if you have any questions.

Its a common illness few get over or ever want cured of till its finally done. Small bike are cool and can be made cute too.

I seem to have an afliction for Nortons and mid 70's yamaha's. 2 commandos the featherbed project, my 75 xs650, wifes 77 xs 360, and now this one. plus my dad has a 79 xs750 triple that he's trying to sell.

I'm not immune to the cocky Norton engine cant either nor taking on more than life and fate allow attending to. Ms Peel special in living room, Trixie Combat in garage, goat dead '00 boney SV650 in shed with un tagged Honda 250 scooter, '38 JD Poppin Johnny tractor runs but so worn out put her up before broken up, my 13 sec Ole Blue - aka Millennium Falcon '78 Chevy cargo van towing machine with spun bearing on cold start stuck throttle over rev to go through, then pack rats got inside and just ain't been able to face that for a decade. Vintage zero turn mower and 20 hp LPG ancient magneto genset/power plant.

My buddy Wes has one ton '47 chevy UP, '69 Bonnie and '71 Commando, and recently 100 cc dirt bike so has me eye balling your new bike acquisition myself.

Have you got a picture of the 360 Brent, I don't think we had them here.
We had the 500 twin, but it had bad reports, the 650 and 750 twins, and of course that lovely 750 triple shafty.

The 77 xs 360, another $200 find. I had to install the optional ES for my wife as her idea of kick starting did not involve the use of the lever.

Also speaking of old, my 39 Case DC, inherited from my grandfather who purchased it new.
