Thanks. Although a 50yo Jap bike, many of the principles apply to other things.I am really enjoying the photos and descriptions of what you got going Concourse...thanks for posting the photos and progress reports.

Pretty sure I have this bugger shimmed properly now.View attachment 113406
It is sheer time management. I do NOT want to have to pull the engine & split the cases again.Loving your attention to detail
It'll pay off in the end
Now where did I leave that xs11 second gear
The rebuilt crankshaft is ready to be cut from it's sealed bag, installed, all the seals & Threebond 1184 to glue it all together.Loving your attention to detail

Who did the crank?
I had a friend in my other life who had your exact same Kaw. He had it bored and stroked by a local bike shop and that thing would pull wheelies on the highway at 80 mph without a cough. It was a terrifying bike to try and hang on to and he eventually sold it as he saw the writing on the wall so to speak.
He just recently retired from his biz as a private pilot winging big wigs around the world in their private jets. A real need for speed guy as his side hobby was racing drag boats.
Not sure what's going on with the JB Weld..
Why?I was thinking that, brain woudn't accept it.........
