Hey guys,

Can you help me find where to find a value on what appears to be an all original 750 commando. black orig paint, looks comp cherry and #'s match. 7500 documented miles with maint records. I just need to find a place to start researching approx values. This is in the Southeastern US. I have never owned a vintage bike, though I have owned bikes since 1978 and can do most of my own wrenching

how much is the seller asking for it? someone here will either tell you to tear his arm off, or that the price is fair, or way too much. The problem with asking what it's worth is you'll likely get 100 different ideas, and lots and lots of questions which you may not be able to answer (is it a Combat, has it had the superblend bearings upgrade, is it standard........)

Sadly, anything is only worth what somebody will pay for it. About the best I have to offer is to go to Ebay, use the advanced search and look for completed auctions on Commando motorcycles. You may find something there that is close to what you are looking at. The other way is to take somebody with you who knows something about these bikes and have them look with you, then go to the pub and drink lots of beer. Either you will get talked into it or out of it!

A vintage car is commonly defined as a car built between the start of 1919 and the end of 1930 known as the "Vintage era". There is little debate about the start date of the vintage period—the end of World War I is a nicely defined marker there—but the end date is a matter of a little more debate. The British definition is strict about 1930 being the cut-off, and is widely accepted

POST CLASSIC , for 70s stuff ! Its fearfully Modern , its built AFTER the War , NOT that one , though . :!:

Five or ten grande . Ayell give yr Two .

One theory is ' what itd be worth if nothing needed doing minus what itd cost to get it done . '
for those costs , think of a number , double it , and add ten percent .

Gooday chchoobr549,

Get some pics and vin number. This will ID the bike. What is the asking price ?

Cheers

The guy is at 7000.00 US dollars. Its a beautiful bike to look at. I will get the vin # 's and post that. I dont know if its a combat motor or not, and I will find that out too. Also I will find out if it has superblend bearings. I have pics, I am trying to figure out how to post them.

The seller sounds like he's asking a fair price if the bike runs as good as it looks and documentation backs it all up.

I am posting on behalf of Choo who PM'ed me.

Looks like a very clean 1973 750. The vin should clarify. If a 73, then the main bearings will be OK.

Thank you for posting the pics--that was really nice of you. One last point of clarification: The bike is in California and I am in FL. I said this is in SE US, in my original post which is confusing I am sure.

Probably $600 to ship it across via Keyboard Motorcycle Shippers, one of the vey best.

where are you in Fl??? if you are close enough to me ( Central Fl.) and need any help let me know.

If hes happy to run it out to redline , cant see its worth complaining about .
Tank appears to lack stripes . Not show condition .Looks like a good user ,
but Id want him to prove it .

Compression Test .Once Warm , should run out through the gears smooth,
not get upsett at the ton , qand have no loud banging whirring or wobbly noises after haveing done it .

6000 rpms pussyfooting , if it wont run clean there , it needs . . . Ah . . . where does it all stop .Doesnt look neglected .
