Vincent Rapide 998 KYB440 Testing near Sells Green Melksham - Avon Tyres

The old Avon grand prix tyres give me the creeps . The Speedmaster , lean and throttle or brake , runs wide . Good for ' throttle steering ' .
The old K81 / TT100 came out around 1970 , before that there was nowt good. Bar the Dunlop Raceing Tyres . Trigonics , which the K81
was a road tyre derivative .

Differant matter on the Dirt Roads entirely though .

PZ2 metzlers & Perrilli phantoms superceeded the K81s for grip , for raceing , at the time . Roadrunners were said to be better , mid 70s.in the dry .
New compounds and improved carcasses in new replicer period tyres nowadays though . So not exactly the same thing . Thingsve come a way since the 20's .
