With pics!

So I put Amals back on and I’m not sure if it’s my Tab Classics alloy tank or my Petcock of unknown origin (suspect eBay) but I have an interference issue with the left fuel line and the manifold screws.

Are the original Petcock much shorter than 2 inches from the tank to the bottom threads?

I’ve put the plastic CNW 90 degrees back on so my lines have a fancy S swoop. I hate it all, but it works for now.

Thanks for the pics LAB. A half inch more clearance would definitely help but it’s still gonna be close. I’ll probably try to source some.

AN is out of stock on the left side. Am I crazy? If there no indicator plate couldn’t you just chop the inlet tube on the left side part?

The sticky up thing that makes it NOT the reserve tap. Sorry words are not my thing today.

Ok, so you mean convert a Main "Left" tap/petcock to a Reserve "Right" by cutting/removing the standpipe, although owners often swap them over so reserve is on the left-hand side (and what the factory did on the 850 Mk3) or fit two reserve taps so fuel isn't trapped in the main tap side of the tank tunnel requiring the bike to be tipped over to slosh the remaining fuel to the reserve side in an emergency if the reserve side has been run dry.

Yes, if it's the type in AN's picture below, then you should be able to unscrew the filter and remove the standpipe that's probably a plastic tube so can just be pulled out.
