High Bar Conversion

Very interested in this myself. I love the look of my CR but the instrument of torture detracts from my rides after about an hour or so. I've got to the point where I am often popping pain pills to get back home again:(! May look at it again when Norton start taking orders.

Once you pull off the top yolk , get them drilled for the handlebar clamps . You will save some money that way and if you want to go back to CR then just plug the holes with some kind of dress up buttons if you care about that. Getting the original Sport Handlebar will need to come from Norton. I have not seen bars like those in the aftermarket , especially that have the Norton logo. Measure a friends Sport and get the dimensions close for the hole spacing . The thru bolts are M10 diameter.

When the factory did mine they offered either a new yoke or drilling the old one. I opted for them to drill it for me and saved a longer wait and £400+.

Hello FE , When you sold your bike did it have the sport bars on it ? Or back to CR bars ?

I sold it with the sports bars on Tony, and all the relevant spares: clip ons, silencers, cat pipes, etc in a box.

Gonna have a good look at that Tony, although I had toyed with the idea of the polished top yoke - can’t resist the bling! Spotted a pair of Rizoma bars on the forum somewhere. Really like their stuff. Expensive but top quality. I can live without the logo.

If anyone in the UK is contemplating fitting bars to a CR I have some unused Rizoma bars that I’d sell for half price, £45 plus postage costs.

I don’t think it would be viable to ship abroad, it’d be cheaper for you to buy locally than pay for shipping I suspect.

Hi Fast Eddie - I'll take you up on those bars if you still have them? I'm in the Highlands but we're still not quite oversea yet... ;)
