Wow. I just went by my local British parts shop here in Orange County California owned by the nicest & most helpful guy you could ever meet named Kieth Moore of Moores cycles and found out that he had recently passed on due to a heart attact right at the counter of his shop.. God I miss him allready! He had a long long long time Triumph & BSA specific shop that was in Anaheim for decades on the corner of Anaheim Blvd & North street where he sold parts, repaired anything on two wheels & allways had time to teach pennyless kids like me how to save money by fixing a broken part so we could keep our funky $300.00 bikes on the road.. I will miss him saddly, I am glad that Tony of Classic cycles in Orange kind of took over Kieths repair work so in some ways his legacy lives on in my town but there is no replacing the man himself. Gods speed to those great ridding roads in the shy my friend, hope we ride togeather again. Glenn.

Sad news. Many of the "old guard" from the heyday of British iron in America are passing on...

Thanks for posting this info. I did not know he had passed on. I have been to the shop several times for parts for my TR6, but I can't say that I knew him well. Never the less, it's sad news. At least he died with his boots on, so to speak.

I wonder what will become of the inventory and the business. Is Classic Cycles going to take over the whole concern?

Gee, I had forgotten all about Moores, it seems like 20 years or more since I remember seeing any advertising of his store, well I hope I go doing what I like also.

For those of you who want to go the funeral is this Saturday (4-28-12) at 902 N. Harbor blvd, Fullerton, ca. At 11:00 am and anyone who would like to attened is welcome. Tony is putting togeather a memorial/wake get togeather of some sort possibly with a ride too but plans are not solid. I will post any info as it comes up. Glenn.
