found a rocker that was not drilled straight? I installed the adjuster and as I ran the nut down it would not sit flat on the rocker. So either the rocker was not drilled and tapped straight or the top of the rocker was not milled perpendicular to the adjuster. In either case I have to replace the rocker.
I just finished torqueing the head down. I keep running into things "I have never seen before".

Perhaps the rocker has been bent somehow...I'm not sure you can change it with the head on.....pushrods might cause headache or alcohol consumption.

Mmmm .. alcohol . Having a Sake , my favorite . Hard day of Norton driving to Gang of 5 Art Show opening n' back with wife on back in miniskirt . Beautiful evening .
Replace the rocker . Use a heat gun . Explore threads on this subject .Delicate carefull work . Enjoy .

Easy enough to do. Make a dummy rocker shaft from a 14mm bolt to keep things in place while you heat the head to install real shaft, and use a proper puller to remove shaft rather than a slide hammer.
