have 850 MKIII gear box NJ203 bearing or not ?

Have the 850 MKIII 06-7710 bearing been fitted with a NJ203 roller bearing or is there a possibility to have a Portugese 6203 ?.
I am new in Commando's and be sure mine is OK or should I check ?

The original would have been a steel caged ball bearing, unless you have documententation that there is now a roller bearing in there you need to investigate and if its a ball with steel cage change to roller or the Mick Hemmings alternative (ball bearing with specialised cage material). Its the cage that fails not the balls or races.

The original 850 Mk3 layshaft bearing would most likely have been the brass-caged Portuguese FAG 6203 ball bearing.

I Wonder how you can see I'm french... Yes I know this company and you can get any bearing and seals within 24h.
Anyway thanks guys I'm going to open my gear box !
