Still on the hunt for a proper set of bars to suit the bike. I've been through so many types, each lacking in some way, the problem is the 5 gallon manx tank I'm running, it's quite long (longer than an interstate tank), and even with rearsets, it puts me in an awkward position. Currently running hyde m-bars, which have been better than the clubmans, flat drags, or euro bars I've tried in the past. I've considered the adjustable jota bars but the astronomical price for a well made set puts me off..

came across these today, Manx 7/8 bars. They look similar to M bars but with a lower profile... has anyone experience with these?

Ibuprofen

A friend of mine has a Lyta 3 gall tank and Jota bars but the bars are not original Jota and are very wide. I'm pretty sure the bars you show on the Manx will work but they will look wrong on a Commando and just as uncomfortable as clip ons. Try a pair of ace bars upside down.

That is correct. However we seem to be dealing with Ton Up Geezers...:)

If you have problems with your back why do you want low bars? Very confusing.

With my bad back on most of my bikes I've put taller bars to get more upright...but that's just me.

I have a back problem, pretty severe actually and still ride with clip ons because it's the only way that I can do it comfortably. My Ducati monster say it's far more upright and it will kill my back after a while. Can I get on the Norton with rear sets and clip on's and immediately feel so much more relaxed and comfortable. The Norton with the long wheelbase does make it much more graceful and that does help. The duck is brutal because of its short wheelbase and right position. You might want to check into the three-way adjustable Tomaselli clip ons. You can't even mount them upside down to get a little rise.

Good possibility they will hit the fork nuts, they don't seem very wide in the middle before they bend.
As for getting clip-ons,, you don't have to run them that way up , flipped over they might be very comfortable, nice amount of reach to take the weight off your arse and back

Im in the lower bars camp. Not clip ons but flatish with pull back. Have Triumph domestic bars on
all three bikes and they work for me. They are pretty dicey in the fitment department though,
they just barely work with the stock master cyl on my 850 Mk2.

Have you tried the Tomaselli Condor Plus? They seem fairly adjustable

Have been looking, but all I can seem to find are the Raask jota's which I hear are not well made

There are several places around the UK who will bend an appropriate piece of stainless steel pipe into the shape you want. Or maybe you don't yet know the shape you want?
