I got an online quote from insurance on my 74 Norton from Hagerty's web site.

Agreed value of $8,000.00 (Don't I wish). 30,000/15,000/10,000/ with unisured motorist coverage AND up to 3 flatbed tows per year for $165.00/year.

My current insurance through Progessive is around $160.00 per year without collision.

Other requirements are that each person in the household with a drivers licence must have an insured vehicle for daily transportation, you need to have a pretty good driving record and the "classic" must be in a locked garage when not being used.

Besides parades, shows and such you can use the classic vehicle for pleasure.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of insurance? Any comments?

classic insurance

I use Condon & Skelly a classic and custom vehicle insurer owned by Metropolitan Life. Similar coverage to what your were quoted at $165. Club use and only 2500 miles per year. My annual cost is $74.

Haggerty

I switched to Haggerty about a year ago for my Commando.

So far so good.

I had a problem setting it up though as I accidentally told them I do over a thousand miles a year. Of course that was a mistake :)

thanks for the replies

Delaware requires medical coverage which adds about $80.00 or so each year.

My coverage is up in May so I have some time to shop around.

Thanks again for the info.
