Anything new we didn't know ?

BTW, Not to get picky about the Picador program, but your title here is (slightly) misleading ?
Vincent Picadore engine development program was the Vincent Picador, not the HRD Picador ??

P.S. Did we see somewhere that a development of Nortons rotary engines is these days still flying in surveillance drones thingies ?

just glANCED AT IT IN THE lIBRARY . aS ' vINCENT ' eT aL DOESNT GET THE RADIO CONTROL STUFF , h.r.d. WOULD . now . OOPS

Noteworthy it ran FUEL INJECTION .And yes , it tells us where to take a spade , or the swimming trunks & snorkle ! .

Just because some librarian somewhere has committed a major error doesn't mean we have to repeat it ?

Why not? Isn't that what the internet is for? To make facts out of myths and truths out of lies?
Perhaps the reverse as well?

Fail to follow your train of logic , Rohan .

Seems to be fairly consistant reports of a few being mislaid , due to wireless problems .

Presumeably this book is Via military records , so chances are take a spade & stick it in the ground where they say , and youve got one ! .

Incidently , following period reports , theres four Spitfires in the tide of Newzealand , at various times & places . the vaugaries of corrosion is the sea means theres a chance of a worthwhile recovery .

My train of thought, Matt, was that these are Vincent Picadors, so why call them HRDs ?

Finding a needle in the proverbial haystack may sound like fun, but if they were easily findable, someone would have done it by now.
It may well be cheaper to build one, than spend all that $$ looking for an old rusty crashed one.. ?

Stories abound of pulling planes up out of the sea.
The 6 Corsairs they found somewhere - the first one came intact to the surface, but crumbled into dust when they used some muscle to lift it out of the water.
Not much flying strength there.....
