"One Week" by Michael Mcgowan
starring Joshua Jackson

Young man buys a Norton and searches for himself driving west across Canada.

good flick

Where did you find that movie? Netflix shows it only with a "save" status, meaning they don't have it available yet. I'd give it a go if I could find a copy. Either that, or I'll fire up my VHS copy of "CC and Company"

This movie was never released in the US because it was determined to be..."too Canadian". Classic. Amazon has it in stock and you can get it there.

Great Movie, is one of those movies I turn on to feel good. Seems to get better every time I watch it. Only think alittle iffy is the narrators voice, but its not that bad.

The bike only broke down once due to bad gas and left him stranded. Pa Norton must have been looking down on him because he was rescued by a nice lady who cleaned the carbs. The bike was innocent when it came to the other problems.

Netflix has it.

I've looked at buying it over here in the UK and they want £57 for it :? Will a Canadian DVD play over here?

US/Canada DVDs are "Region 1" type, UK is "Region 2" however it can depend on your DVD player, as some are "multi-region", but if it doesn't work in your DVD player, it will probably work in your computer's disc drive.

LAB,
Thanks.

I'm not into this modern stuff, I leave that to the Grandkids. I'm sure the little beggars are programmed at birth to under stand it all.

Cash, I can get that DVD for $18 CAD + shipping through amazon.ca. Blu Ray is $25. Post to you won't be more than $10 I would think since for some reason it costs me more to ship there than it does you to here. If you want one I'll get you one.

this from a friend, an ex-pat brit living in Vancouver:

"Hey Phil. North America are on NTSC and England is on PAL. The DVD needs to be cracked inorder to become a world wide or region free DVD player. Usually the procedures are listed on the Internet."

so it is apparently possible.
