I have just bought a GPS Speedo from Legendary Motorcycles which is supposed to be for Nortons (it does have a green dot on it). Does anyone have any suggestions for linking it with the ignition switch? All I can think of doing is running a separate circuit from the battery with a switch in it. The instrument requires the active to be connected to the positive of the battery (the instruction sheet which is from Speed Hut is generically useless and refers to mounting in a car with negative earth) Am I correct in assuming that if I do this it won't interfere with the rest of the circuitry which like most Nortons is positive earth?

Hope ya figure out this new age connections but be aware that the GPS only measures level surface ground speed so will read a few mph slower when shooting up or down steeps especially if in a turn. I gotten almost 5 mph difference for a few seconds between mechanical or digital speedo compared to GPS at same time.
But that took going nearly the ton to make it that apparent.
