I wear prescription glasses inside a full face helmet when I race. The lenses darken automatically in sunlight. But at Winton in late afternoon you can be racing into the sun. Mostly the organiser try to make sure that does not happen. The worst situation is when you ride out of the bright sunlight into shade , you can be totally blind for a couple of seconds.

I thought this topic was about getting old being a bastard ? As I've become older my appreciation of good has become better.
