Does anyone have any experience in Florida obtaining a title for a motorcycle built from parts? I am working on a 1971 Commando. The frame was badged. I ran a title check in Florida. The bike has never been titled here.

I don't live in FL, but I've been playing the game for decades. The LAST thing you want to do is say "made from parts" which will be assumed "stolen parts". The FRAME number is all you should use.... do not talk about engine numbers, etc... the fact that all those match on SOME vehicles was simply the makers choice. Never a requirement.
You DO want to say "I need to title my old motorcycle, VIN 00000000012345689, what is the procedure?"

In the state I live in, for example, there is a form to be filled out by a LEO, after verifying the FRAME stamped VIN. Title is then issued.

If you have trouble getting a title in Fla. contact Vermont's DMV. They will issue out of state titles and registration. It will probably cost you about $250 to $300 because you have to pay tax on the value of a 71 Commando. This is how I got my 72 Commando titled. PM me if you have any problems ,I'm glad to help out........PhillySkip
