I am assembling a gearbox and I am not finding first gear. I think I have the quadrant pinion a tooth out with the cam plate. Here is a picture of the box in 4th gear and I think the alignment of the upper edge of the pinion and the stud on the right is too low. What does the group think?

Yes a bit too low ...

Just assembled the box today. The photo shows about where third should be. For fourth, the top of the quadrant roller should align wth the top right stud. In fourth, the quadrant will barely clear the top of the rectangular opening in the inner gearbox cover. Its got to be close to find first.

I moved quadrant up as suggested and I now have first gear. Thanks you all.
