Been driving the MK 111 long distances all summer long. Ganglion (Bible Cysts ) suddenly now on wrists and one palm. My intuition says there might be a connection. I'm 62. Anyone making that connection ?
Well in that case I'll keep riding , oh wait.. the season is over in a few days for 5 or 6 months.I had a very prominent one pop up on my right wrist when I was in my early twenties. It was painful but only with a certain movement that was not a 'normal' wrist movement anyway. When I had a doctor check it out, he informed me what was, that the usual treatment was to ignore it or perform "the bible treatment." After 6-8 months it disappeared on it's own with no treatment of any kind. Occasionally, over the next 10-15 years it would recur but with much less 'prominence' and disappear in a month or two. Hasn't occurred again in many years. I never associated it with riding - it came and went several times during some years where I didn't ride. In fact, when it first appeared in its most pronounced form, I didn't own a Moto/wasn't riding at all or doing anything similar.
No idea what a PTO is but ive had floaters for decades. Recently saw a video where an optician was suggestion fresh pineapple can help break down floaters due to an enzyme in the fruit that cuts up the cellular debris that form the floaters. He did say this was not fully proven but their are small studies showing some benfit. Gotta eat a lot daily for a few months though!I've got one too, it showed up maybe a couple months ago unnoticed by me, but there it was. Still there. Doesn't seem to bother me, but I haven't been riding for years, so it's not that. It's right where my thumb joins my wrist. Doc didn't say much but didn't mention the bible.
But now I've got the new PanOptix Toric in my right eye as of Monday. My other eye is still better but then there's a floater right where I look in the right eye. I kinda felt like I was sold a Lasik used car for $3600. Not sure about the other eye if the right one doesn't get lots better. At least I got high for a couple hours but I really didn't notice it, just sorta staggered around a bit. The nurses weren't that cute either that I could tell with all the precautions, at least they were friendly.
