G15P

Working on the restoration of my N15CS, and I keep coming across references to G15P in the parts book. I know it’s a limited number, single seater but I can’t find any images of one In my books or the internet - is it that rare?

Yes it is!

I had an exchange with Hycam-guru Anthony Curzon a couple of years ago and I have a vague recollection he claimed only 4 samples of the police edition were built by the factory, all shipped to Canada. I am lucky to own one (incomplete).
The bikes were too heavy for the armed forces. As for police duties, it would be hard to compete with the reliability of a BMW R69S. AMC also built Norton Atlas police editions, but apart from a blurred sales image I have never seen one of those either. There is a picture of the G12P in one of the books - that one was also shipped to Canada for evaluation - the G15P should look similar. I hold a late style petrol tank with the mounting tray for a PYE radio set.
