Fuel Cap Decal Position

Was there a standard on which position the "Fuel Recommendation" decal was placed on the fuel cap? Photo 1 or Photo 2. Thank you for your replys. Jerry

OK, just kidding. I've never seen one! Seems like I remember my old Interstate had one (or something similar) next to the filler, which was removed thru gasoline spillage, but the memory is vague. My present Interstate looks like there was something next the filler that is no longer there. There was no evidence of any sticker on my '74 Roadster.

The nail is a nice touch...

Had this sticker on my Mk 111 I vaguely remember back when, have not seen one since. I f you had another one of those nails you could actually syncronize the amal slides with them. Handy.
