Greetings, does anyone have any examples to make a spanner that will work in taking off the lock bolts so one can remove the wheelbearing seals short of purchasing the correct spanner wrenches identified in the owners manual. I just replaced my tires and could not get the retainer nuts off as I did not have the correct tool however would like to replace them at the first opportunity. Any help on what ya'll have used in the past to get these little devils off is appreciated. semper fi devildog

You can make a tool out of an appropriately sized water pipe with the excess material hacksawed off and a hole drilled for a bar to go through. The trick with dismantling the hubs is to warm them with a blow-torch first as this causes the alloy to expand to a greater degree than the steel collar. I bought a genuine tool from Norvil and it has the facility for removing front and rear collars and disc caliper plugs so it has more than one function.
