Front end wobble fixed

Just wanted to report that the head shake I reported here a while ago is gone now. A friend noted that my front tyre was showing 'cupping' in the tread, so I replaced it. Problem solved, I can ride no hands with no instability now. The tyre was an Avon AM20 about 4 years old.

Yabut how did it get that way :?: Maybe the wheels are not in line and it will do the same later on...

I've always heard that cupping is a result of ineffective damping and/or out of balance wheel. You may want to check the oil level in the forks.
