I took a different way back to the plant from lunch today and I found this gem in the back of a truck on the street.
Did not get to talk to the owner to find out what he was thinking when he crafted his ride.
I really like the electrical tape seat cover.
Enjoy

Here, I fixed your assumption.

From the seat forward is awesome. The extended girder is cool. The drop seat and hill climberesque rear section is odd though.

Cool bike regardless of the flaws since it is different than your average Norton.

Now that's gonna grab attention where ever it shows, good and bad.
That Cockey Commando engine sure does wonderful things to male psyche.

May i stick this post in the Commando Chopper tread for one stop shopping?

I think that he just wanted to convince his wife that he needed to buy a pick-up with a longer load bed.

I was thinking that anything that long is compensating for other shortcomings, and that kind can't be fixed with a bigger pickup.

I saw a very similar bike, albeit with a Triumph engine, in a rest stop off a highway years ago.

Huge parking lot, empty. Good thing, too, cause the guy needed the whole thing to turn his bike 180 degrees.

What possesses people to take good-handling bikes and destroy them?

Well, heck, the one I mentioned was in 79 on a long strange trip (from Albany NY to Daytona FL, and back) so I don't remember exactly but as I recall my buddy (900 Z1) and I (GS750) looked at each other and laughed. Not so much shock and awe as "aw shucks, WTF?" As for stopping him, we had no such desire but the diameter of the parking lot accomplished that anyway (while we turned around sharply and peeled out, leaving him backing and filling).

SOME choppers can be intriguing, if ridden to Mardi Gras with interesting gas tank contents and Jack Nicholson on the back, but.....

Alas similar handling issue in the opposite extreme of too lowered and short a front.
Too much of a cool cafe style?
