My bike doesn't have any 'cos the last owner' knew better. What is the easiest way of fitting these? Was thinking of loosening steering nut and lower pinch bolts, remove top nuts and hoist front end via top yoke so I can drop whole wheel and forks down thro bottom yoke without having to remove caliper/mudguard. Fit o rings then lower bike weight off hoist to refit forks. Will need to remove brake m/cyl to get enough brake line as fork drop.

Any better ideas?

Yes this is how I'm about to do it again on Trixie Combat to replace decayed gaiters but suggest block under frame or center stand with rear weighted down as top side hoisting only can allow bike to flip right over, ugh. Might want to put a bit of stick em goop on the thin oil rings so save loosing hair on them popping out of seat many many times trying to keep all of em set while moving both sides at once with only two human hands.

Did that job in two and half hours Hobot. Decided to take wheel out and mudguard off. Then slacken lower yoke plus pinch bolts and drop lower yoke 5mm, sorry 3/16". Fork top nuts off and damper nuts then one leg at a time remove fork leg and fit o-rings. Top o-ring centred themselves into the groove via friction on stanchions as they are pushed back up thro'. Quite easy. One of those jobs where you spend more time debating it and best way is just to put the radio on, accept your a prat for having assembled it before and done a half-arsed job (knew they weren't in there) and just crack on with it..
