I expect this has been done before, but who recommends what when it comes to foot peg and kick start rubbers. I am fed up with the stale cheese ones that come from wassle. I have just had some very good handle bar grips from Burton bike bits to replace the cheese ones and you can see the difference in quality by the colour and texture.
so please share your experiences and suppliers. thanks Neil

The OEM style handlebar grips made by OGK japan are excellent

As for pedal rubbers , i think because of cost of natural rubber all suppliers are using the same shiny synthetic blended rubber

So they are all pretty similar in actual quality / longevity despite any claims made by sellers ( just look for good molding quality without tons of flash )
some of the UK produced ones look like they are pulled from an ancient archaeological dig the mold quality is so poor , import rubbers are far sharper looking

Just Buy the cheap ones and throw away when they split , you will do exactly the same with more expensive replacements ( to make them last from a natural rubber they would be $30.00 each )

The new ones I bought from Old Britts in late 2006 are still on there and are still in good shape!

When i got new rubbers from RGM I ordered 2 sets and keep 1 set in as spares, so far the last ones have been on the bike for over 5 years now and are still hanging in there, the kick start rubber is a bit loose on the kicker but still sats on as I only kick my bike once to start it and I still have my spare ones.
