Flying the chair!

I have one of those steering dampers, but I'm considering an adjustable modern type. What's your experience with yours?
I've only ridden it a few miles, before removing the sidecar to redo the mountings. I'm in the process of doing that now, just got sidetracked riding the Triumph as a solo. It's a pretty nice ride all by itself. My plan at this time is to get it sorted out and ride it for a while, and then decide whether to swap it to the 961 Commando, or maybe even keep it as is and buy a similar sidecar to fit to the 961. So many options to choose from.🙂

I bet there are not many 961 combos around Ken !

I've found a few on-line. This one is my favorite so far. More info here

Paul, how come fittings versus miters & fish mouths?
I don't have a good cutting setup. My 2 test cuts took inordinately long. I really need a good band saw, mine has a blown gearbox.

I MIGHT go ahead and do those on the right side (instead of "T"s), but still using the elbows.

I totally forgot that I have a new(ish) bandsaw that I bought from a guy last year! Anyway, the last few cuts have been much easier.

The powdercoat guy will grind and dress the welds, then blast the frame before it gets coated.

I did measure, check, and re-align the rig before drilling the holes. In future, I can re-drill another set fore, and even a 3rd set aft, in the event that it needs adjustment to handle correctly; there's plenty of space on the steel plate. I'll buy new bits and a new drill, if that happens.

I got the sidecar mounted last week, had a little episode with a stuck float, but now pretty much hunky-dory!

Alex wanted to have a go, so I let him. He'll have his license soon, but 250cc restriction...
