Flexible pipe - where does it go?

I have had the petrol tank off for some time while I messed about with the IAC and blocking the link between the throttle bodies. After replacing everything today I ended up with a rubber tube that I can't find a home for.

It's soft rubber, 41cm long and 6mm diameter, similar to the breather pipes from the petrol tank. However, I have accounted for the items in the parts list (3,4,5,14) and can't see anywhere that this one would go. It's possible it wasn't from the Norton but it was in the box of bits that I'd taken off.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Is it the airbox drain ? ( which normally goes to the small bottle behind the left footrest plate).

Thanks, but that one's in place, it's a plastic pipe. Maybe the rubber one just found its way into the box of bits, I'll stop worrying about it.

I always had bits left over after a project. 😄
I used to have the odd nut or bolt after putting a car engine back in, but never a pipe. I've come to the conclusion that it's an interloper that just wanted to be fitted to the Norton, but it won't be.
