Fitting turn signal/ indicators to '69 model

That looks like Lt Green/Brown to me. If so, it's one side of the flasher and the common wire for the turn signal switch. the turn signal side of the Lucas consol has a matching Lt Green/Brown wire.

Where are you located - you may be near someone who could get you sorted in a few minutes.

On pre-MK3 bikes that had turn signals, the flasher goes on the frame cross member in the middle of the bike. The flasher gets a white wire and a Lt Green/Brown wire and that Lt Green/Brown wire will have 12 volts with no load and when everything is connected it will switch between 0 and 12 volts making the turn signals flash when the turn signal is selected.

Got it sorted out - yes! Fitted a flasher unit between this very cable and a white cable - test assembly - indicators and the switch work!
