Dear All,
This is my first ever post on any forum. I'm not a prolific user of the interweb-thingy, so forgive me for any lapses in protocol and lord knows how I'm going to post any pics......
Anyway, a brief-ish intro:-
Like many of you, I love my bikes and cars. When I left home and could afford it, I passed my test, bought an FZR1000 and proceeded to go flat out everywhere. Two EXUP's followed and then an R1, (which I still have). Always at full throttle though.
Then came the wife, kids and a new business. The bike got put on hold and a few nice cars came along instead.
As you all know, once it's in your system, you'll always come back to riding.
So, after a decade of (almost) sensible hubby, daddy, boss, it was time for me again.
I first saw the 961 at a bike show, where they were building one on the stand. I can't remember when or where, but I remember the bike and I remember dribbling. That was it. I was getting one.
I read about it, did my research and followed this forum. I went to the factory for a test ride, but they had no roadworthy bikes. I was shown around though and it was just brilliant. It really felt like a family business, full of enthusiasts....more dribbling.
Finally, I decided what I wanted and the spec. Kwickstart in Wales had one in stock Colin and Paul had were really helpful and genuine and put it on a platform in the showroom when I arrived; I had no chance -deal done. Only problem, I hadn't told the wife!
This story continues, and there will be a major breakthrough next week hopefully, but for now.........
Joining you guys:- 2017 Sport Mk2 in black, (the one before ABS/dual seat), with black rims, short pipes and decat, carbon hugger and bar end mirror.
Now lets see if I can work this out....
