I was under the impression based on reading some Norton info - though I can't recall what/where - that Norton was aware that there were FG resin problems with alcohols that people were adding to the fuel - dry-gas and other products of that sort - at that time (early '70s). I'm ALMOST certain I read about Norton/leaking FG tanks due to it. But since I can't put my hands on any such actual document at the moment...perhaps I am mistaken.

Here in the frozen north, it was common to add that stuff at least once per winter to get the water out of the gas tanks of cars before the really cold weather hit, but never on a motorcycle since they were all stashed for the winter.

Has anyone used or seen Waldridge's alloy Roadster tank? They quoted me $395, but warned it is a bit wavy on the sides.
