Hello gang. I am refitting my fiberglass fuel tank and stupidly didn’t pay attention to the sequence of the front mount washers. Three rubber washers are still stuck to the bottom of the tank with the stud through them. But one rubber washer, one flat washer, and one dished washer on each side all fell on the floor. Are all four washers mounted between the tank and the flat frame mounting bracket? Cupped washer above and flat washer below the bracket? Thanks!

A plain washer 01.4999 (and nyloc nut 06.0797) on each side according to the parts lists...
...no "dished/cupped washer".

(Parts books list either 8, 10 or 12 rubber washers)
Logically, one rubber washer below the bracket on each side fully rubber-mounts the tank to the support bracket and that is how I do it but I don't know if it's what the factory intended.

That's how my '74 was built.

I too mounted tank as Lab described , works perfect

My parts manual for 750 Commando with fiberglass tank shows flat rubber washer p/n 060648 quantity 8 or 12 as needed. These are stacked on the stud between tank and frame. One more rubber washer, steel washer and nyloc nut below the frame bracket.

Thanks gents. The one rubber washer under the frame bracket is the one that ended up on the floor. Makes sense and thanks for the help.
