fecebook down?

That's the way I've spelled it since I was first locked out for no given reason.

...I've been in fecebook jail more than 20 times, once for 7 months, and had to come up with user "Dingus McGillicuddy" to continue.

I call it fu ckbook, when it first started up I was drunk at the time (don't sign up to nothing when you are drunk lol) just because everyone was joining it at the time, very rarely did I go on it but every time I did look in I had all these friends who I didn't even know W T F, so I decided I no longer wanted to be a member, you can never leave, you be still there even if you think you have left them, I just stop going on it, but one day I went on after finding my password I wrote down a longtime ago so I had a look in and still all these friends from all over the world and I never knew one of them and then there was all the Asian lingo/writings, well a few more years went by so decided I have another go, sorry been kicked off because you don't come one enough, thank fu ck for that.
So many people spend their whole life on fu ckbook, my wife included, no thanks I have a life and I visit my friends face to face.
But it's just another place for scammers, hackers to get your details and now people getting ripped off through market place or if selling strangers coming to check things out and before you know it you been robbed or broken in too a few days later.
But one good thing all the young hoons/underage car thieves in stolen cars and putting up their adventures on fu ckbook with high speed runs or being chased by the police to be caught later on because they put it all up on fu ckbook, how stupid are these kids as the police keep a good eye on what goes on fu ckbook.
Put your luxury/high performance car up on market place and leave yourself to home invasion, no thanks better without any of it.
My opinion anyway.

I just remembered I got a FB access Norton page. It prompted me to go have a look. Lots of missed messages and crap posted on it. I fixed it and must remember to check it more often. Not a huge FB fan really.

I spend too much time on Access Norton and Triumph Rat forums to worry about other forums or FB lol.

Personally I like the fact that I have actually tracked down several good friends from my youth, including the best man at my first wedding, and a couple of people I bought bikes from or sold bikes to. Also, we've started to organize our 50th year High School Class Reunion with MANY more people than we expected to find.

EVERY online public gathering forum can be abused, hacked, etc. You just have to mind your business. I don't join groups that don't have good mods.

Ah, yes, ease of uploading photos and creating albums is excellent, and "free" (as free as any other site that allows free uploads). One thing that is harder, is searching for something you posted years ago, although possibly not much harder than these dot.com sites.

I have never visited the site and have no plans to , lot of folks swear by all the benefits gained … I see it as , more trouble for this old man
Same.
When first introduced I researched what it does and how it is structured.
Never looked at it again.
Same with so many of the other social media bickerson sites where all are FUS except for the ones that agree with the posters opinion, no matter how skewed it may be.
A very bad place for adolescents and teenagers.

I went on it when it first started
But there were people putting photos up of their dinner
Or waterfalls and god knows what else
That was enough for me FFS

Yeah, I stop short of posting photos of my bowel movements or thoughts regarding whether our kids should be allowed to have more than 30-round clips in their Uzzis.

There is a whole other issue to people posting photos and even names of their children and grandkids on these sites. There are some seriously twisted types who use this visual info with very evil and dark intent.
There is at least one member on this forum who posts photos of the little ones in his family as part of his avatar/member ID. Dumb.
Concours nailed it in another thread regarding the reality of evil in this world. These platforms enable such.

Exactly.

The kids will never even understand what privacy is.
