Yes silly....a perfect smooth engine turned into a shaker....did I mention I do not really like the Featherbed?

Philippe, I can see why you might not care for the Featherbed, but what's not to like about the Suzuki motor?

I LOVE the water buffalo (and the GT550/380) (I have a few 2 strokes: T500, S2, H1, H2, Yankee Z) ...it is just that if you put it in a Featherbed this sweet thing will start to vibrate as anything you put in a Featherbed!!! It seems to be the main advantage (!!!) of this frame: anything you put in there is transform in a shaker! Compare an Atlas to a G15, a Norvin to an Egli ot stock Vincent and you'll see!!

That is true Philipe,
However, after a recent conversation I had with Dave Degans from Dresda a lot of the vibration will depend upon the motor mounting plates you use. I wanted to know the idea thickness of alloy plate to mount an engine in a featherbed (I've used 1/4") and Dave confirmed, apparently he experimented with thicker plates in the 60s and the vibration made the things almost unridable!

Build a double flat four , H-8 .

Be dareing ! dual flat plane cranks ,
or off-set for four V-twins linked .
