Looking for high quality clamps that clamp a silencer tightly to 1-3/8" head pipes without leaks. What's the best out there? (Chrome or stainless is OK).
I use stainless steel T-clamps that I buy from my hydraulic hose store. They tighten easily with a 3/8 socket. An example below. They come in different sizes and I use them on the crossover on my Triumph.
I use the same type of DRC clamp with peashooters. It is best to rotate the clamp so that the screw is vertical and inboard, and you wont catch your kicker or pant leg on it.

That's similar to what I have now. Smallest size goes down to 36 mm which is not quite tight enough for 1-3/8 pipes. Mine are tightened all the way and I'm getting a leak. Maybe need to wrap some metal tape under them.
I tried those Omega style clamps, got them from Frank in New England, forget his shop, that little spacer is aluminum and distorts under pressure. I think you're right the Moose type don't close all the way 'round, but they hold on my S type silencers fine. I think there's a better selection than when I got mine.
