Hawkwind's Space Ritual is the greatest live album recorded. Unique, creative, loose, psychedelic beyond compare. And British. I think I'll have some "Lord of Light" for breakfast....

I saw them live too, about 1974/5, around the time they had two drummers and two drum kits. I think it was just before Lemmy was fired/left.

That Temptations album, lotta soul, was my first LP. Later I traded a bicycle crank (bottom bracket) for Alice Cooper's schools out. - -

Hawkwind were always great to see live
I have seen them many times back in the day
Saw them play at Stonehenge at the free festival they always put on a good performance

As another sad pointer to how the world's travelling - look at the cover in my post #311 above vs the original below.
All the girls' faces have been removed and replaced with band members.
I noticed it when I bought a CD a year or so ago.
Probably an attempt to avoid litigation.
