Would like to know if anyone can shed some light on my recently acquired bike? Recently I requested the despatch records for my 1977 MK3 Interstate and received the following. My bike was not registered in the UK until 2006 which made me assume it had been exported to the USA and then repatriated in 2006. However from what I can see in that record it was supplied to Read bros as an Interstate UK MPH. Were these a recognised UK dealer in 77? Did my bike languish in a shed for years in the UK before hitting the street in 2006? Interesting that it was originally in silver but is now red. Also what was no.2 works?

It was not uncommon for some of the last Commando's sold to be kept in their crate unregistered or taken out of the crate and kept in a house unridden and unregistered. So built by the receiver in 1977 and not registered until 2006 without leaving UK is perfectly possible.

Thank you, had a little search around and it looks like we’re Honda dealers back in 73.
