Exhausts

I would avoid the Emgo/Commando Specialties peashooters. I had one new one crack around the front.weld after about 750 kms.

I did considered the Armour 2 into 1 down pipe, and they do look rather nice... But the fact that you will have to swage/flange the left hand pipe once the rose is fitted has put me off somewhat

Perhaps you could send them your rose nut and they’ll fit it and swage the pipe for you?

I guess I'm in the minority but I LIKE the look of the pipes blueing on "classic" bike exhaust pipes. Heck, I have a new Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe and I wish it DIDN"T have double wall exhaust pipes so they would turn blue!

As a side note - several companies (of course) make replica exhausts for the Z900RS so you can convert the Z900RS's 4 into one exhaust to the '70's 4/4 system - 3000 bucks! Ironic that people are actually spending that to make a current retro bike look more like the original when, back in the day we all immediately removed the stock 4/4 systems and installed 4/1 Kerkers. Go figure! ;)

I loved my Kerker ---I had the last SOHC 750 four, the maroon 1978 F1, with the hybrid steel/aluminum Comstock wheels and orange stripe on the tank. I had it punched out to 828, balanced and blueprinted, put a bank of smoothbore mikuni carbs with K&N filters. It made that Kerker scream. My big brother had a Hooker header on a smaller Honda, it sounded good too. Sorry guys...I got off on a tangent.
