75 commando 850. After engine warms up-white smoke out left exhaust. Compression is 125-130 both sides. Put oil in cylinders got 140 both sides.
Bike runs good. Someone mentioned wet sumping. Is there a procedure to isolate problem? Valves? rings? oil pump? crankcase seal? Any ideas appreciated. Camchain replaced year ago.

Mileage ? Try blocking off the oil supply to the head and take it for a good run. If the smoke stops ,it is head related ,if it persists it could be rings . It's the simplest test method option . Good luck. Come to think of it the head will have to come off regardless. Could be a popped off valve seal too. Or a leaking head gasket. Worn guide is my guess.

Could be a combo of things rings to seal to guides, if not gone through already, then best thing is just tear down inspect fix and put back but here's recent post on leak down compression test to help ID what to spend on next. Double check ring gaps as one set out a 4 I've installed were too big out the box but all the prior and last replacement rings sets were spot on gap for the bore involved.
