Exhaust Question

Is there anything wrong with running sraight pipes? Not sure what kind of exhaust I want to run, so I'd like to run just the pipes till I figure it out. I'll make a rear mount.

You mean apart from attracting the attention of the Police and alienating the general population ? :shock:

Your carburation would certainly be lean, risking engine damage. You could re-jet but you will still have a power loss. Commandos need a long total exhaust length preferably with a shallow megaphone (they also prefer extended inlets as well but the frame makes that difficult).

I've never heard a Commando sound crisp and well set-up with shorter pipes on.
