Fuel additives (not stabilizers) are problematic for me. Same for using av-gas or high octane racing fuels. Works great for the tank full leaving on a ride, but when that runs out in the middle of the ride the re-fuel is still what's available at the pump. Unless you ride out an back on one tank what's the point. Stabilizers are great for when the fuel sits in the tank while waiting for the next ride.

I'll primarily use SF when I'm shutting equipment down for the season. I'll spill some in the tank of the bike during riding season if only to clean out the goo should it have sat for a while. Topping off with straight fuel doesn't pose a problem. Gave up on av-gas or the like long ago.

Sea Foam gets lots of thank yous but also plenty of 'oh no's' on various forums mostly related to breaking up carbon crap into other stuff.

The "active" ingredient in ethanol treatment additives is ether which is not polar so dissolves in gasoline yet loves to grab OH-, hydroxyl groups off other molecules like ethanol in what's known as a dehydration reaction similar to what happens in assembling proteins but jerking an OH- and a H+ off each end of amino acids that then hook up.

I get that. My guess is they've already had plenty of crap in line. My suggestion then is to use this stuff before they've come to that point OR from day one. My thoughts only.
