Hi All. I recently removed my primary cover, drained and cleaned the engine oil covered clutch plates, and put it all back together. I wasnt going to ride it, so didnt put any ATF in (mainly because I didnt have a funnel or measuring cup ). I did start it up for about 10 minutes total, and rode maybe 60 metres in first, then let it sit for a month or so. Today I pulled the cover off and to my surprise about 40-50 ml of engine oil spilled out - enough to make a big mess. It wasnt obvious where it came from, but I am assuming the clutch push rod (which now has a dyno Dave seal on it).
Could this much oil have come down the shaft? Is it coming from somewhere else? Do I have a gearbox or crank breather problem if this much oil is being forced into the chaincase with this little running?
cheers

Crank seal leaking, when you let it sit for a month it has wet sumped and leaked throught your crank seal.

Oil can also ooze out any of the 3 small bolts fastened through crank cases. I just poor lube in till just shows through the lower chain links. Funny ole machines aren't they.
